Streaming Troubleshooting FAQ

These are the most common questions about fixing streaming problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my streaming keep buffering?

Buffering is usually caused by slow internet, weak WiFi, or ISP throttling. Try: restarting your device, using Ethernet, clearing app cache, or using a VPN. See our 15-fix buffering guide.

How do I know if my ISP is throttling streaming?

Run a speed test, then run a VPN and test again. If speeds improve significantly with a VPN, your ISP is likely throttling streaming traffic.

Why won't my streaming app accept my login?

Check for extra spaces in username, password, and server URL. Copy and paste from your credentials email. Make sure you chose Xtream Codes login, not M3U. Try the web player as an alternative.

My streaming works on some channels but not others. Why?

Different channels use different servers. If most channels work, the issue is with specific channels being down. Contact support about those specific channels.

Should I use a VPN for streaming?

A VPN is not required but can help if your ISP throttles streaming or if you experience buffering on specific ISPs. Not all VPNs work well with streaming — test before committing.

Is Ethernet really better than WiFi for streaming?

Yes. Ethernet provides consistent, stable speed with no interference. WiFi fluctuates and is affected by distance, walls, and other devices. If possible, use Ethernet for streaming.

Why does my Firestick keep crashing?

Firestick crashes are usually caused by low storage, outdated apps, or overheating. Clear app cache, uninstall unused apps, update your app, and use the HDMI extender to prevent overheating.
