Firestick Won't Turn On

If your Firestick will not turn on or shows no signal, try these fixes in order.

Firestick Won't Turn On

Check the power adapter

Use the original Amazon power adapter, not a USB port. Firesticks need more power than a TV USB port provides. Plug directly into a wall outlet.

Check the HDMI connection

Unplug and replug the Firestick from the HDMI port. Try a different HDMI port. Use the HDMI extender cable to ensure a secure connection.

Check the TV input

Make sure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input. Use the TV remote to cycle through inputs until you see the Firestick home screen.

Try a different TV

If possible, test the Firestick on another TV. If it works on another TV, the issue is with your TV's HDMI port, not the Firestick.

Factory reset via remote

Hold the Back and Right buttons on your Firestick remote for 10 seconds. This triggers a factory reset. You will need to set up the Firestick again.

Hardware failure

If none of these steps work, the Firestick may have a hardware failure. Contact Amazon support for a replacement if under warranty.
